The Kentucky Fire Commission will be sponsoring an IFSAC Accredited certification Firefighter 1 and 2 skills exam, August 16-17, 2008 in London. Testing will be conducted at the Somerset Community College-South Campus, 235 S. Laurel Rd, London (behind South Laurel High School) .

Firefighter 1 candidates are asked to report at 8:45 am local time on Saturday morning for a 9 am scheduled start of testing. Firefighter 2 testing will begin at 9 am Sunday morning. Candidates for testing must bring full PPE and SCBA.
For reference purposes only, candidates should bring thier own copy of all Kentucky Firefighter 1&2 and Haz Mat Operations Skill Sheets as they will NOT be provided
. It is strongly recommended candidates also bring a snack and drink, as testing will not break for lunch either day. Testing is expected to conclude by 1 pm each day.

Candidates for testing must bring completed FF1, FF2, Haz Mat Awareness and Haz Mat Operations certification applications to the testing site. These applications are to be signed by the department chief or designee attesting the candidates competency in the required NFPA objectives.
Applications and skills sheets are available on the IFSAC Accredited Certification section of this website. Anyone that intends to test should pre-register for the exam so we may plan for your attendance.
