The Kentucky Fire Commission will be sponsoring an IFSAC Accredited certification Firefighter 1 and 2 skills exam, August 30-31, 2008 in Ashland area. Testing will be conducted at the Cannonsburg FD, 2000 Cannonsburg Rd, Ashland.

Firefighter 1 candidates are asked to report at 8:45 am local time on Saturday morning for a 9 am scheduled start of testing. Firefighter 2 testing will begin at 9 am Sunday morning. Candidates for testing shall bring full PPE and SCBA. Candidates should also bring thier own copy of all Kentucky Firefighter 1&2 and Haz Mat Operations Skill Sheets for review purposes. It is recommended you also bring a snack and drink as testing will not break for lunch either day. Testing is expected to conclude by 3pm each day.

Candidates for testing must bring completed FF1, FF2, Haz Mat Awareness and Haz Mat Operations certification applications to the testing site. These applications are to be signed by the department chief or designee attesting the candidates competency in the required NFPA objectives.
Applications and skills sheets are available on the IFSAC Accredited Certification section of this website. Anyone that intends to test should pre-register for the exam so we may plan for your attendance.
